This is a painting of the island Stora Blindgrund in Nuottaniemi, Espoo in Finland. It is one of a pair of paintings of the island, this one being set in Winter and it's partner painting being set in Spring. The two commissioned paintings were to highlight the contrast in seasons on the island.
